School of Marxism successfully held the First Cloud International Academic Conforence "Jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind and improving the well-being of people around the world" on Nov. 17-19, 2020 in conference room 224. More than 60 experts and scholars from 8 countries and regions invited to the conforence.
The opening ceremony was hosted at 15:30 on Nov. 17, 2020. President Hong Xiaonan introduced the faculties, teaching equipment and facilities, research basis of school of Marxism, DUT. He emphasized that the establishment of school of Marxism provided a broad scope and great opportunities for the academic research of Marxist theory, teaching and disciplinary development in Dalian University of Technology. President Hong Xiaonan expressed his gratitude to all scholars for their support.
Professor Cong Yufeng (the Dean of International Office,DUT ) made a brief address on the statement of international exchange and cooperation of DUT.

President Hong Xiaonan, vice dean Fang Yumei and Dr. Yan Ping, all from the School of Marxism, Dalian University of Technology; Professor Sean Sayers, from University of Kent,UK; Professor James Crossley, from St Mary’s University,UK; Associate Professor Stefano Azzarà, from University of Urbino Carlo Bo,Italy attended this session. They signed bilateral cooperation agreements about scientific research cooperation, student exchange and so on. The international communication of school of Maxism made a positive progress.
The closing ceremony was hosted at 20:40 on Nov. 19, 2020 in conference room 224. President Hong Xiaonan presided over this session and all participants attended. Roland Boer expressed his sincere thanks for President Hong Xiaonan, vice dean Fang Yumei and the school of Marxism, Dalian University of Technology. He pointed that the Chinese model is of significance to the other countries in the world. He ecouraged young scholars to participate in academic activitieswith his experiences in Beijing and Dalian.
