In order to promote the construction of the national key Marx school, further strengthen the international exchange and cooperation of "going out and bringing in", especially strengthen the exchange and mutual learning with socialist countries, and effectively share the theoretical innovation and practical experience in the construction of socialist countries and political parties, Yumei Fang, vice president of Marx school, Xinkui Zhang, deputy secretary of the Party committee, and secretary of Foreign Affairs Ping Yan, three teachers led a group of 33 members of the first Dalian University of technology Marxism college, composed of 8 doctoral students and 22 master's students, to visit the National University of Laos and Lao National Academy of social sciences from November 26 to November 30, 2019. During the visit, the members of the visiting group studied carefully, conducted in-depth research and conducted extensive communication and exchanges with local teachers and students. On November 30, the visiting school reunion completed its mission and successfully returned to China.

From November 26 to 27, the visiting delegation visited Lao National University, which was warmly received by the University and held a symposium. The symposium was presided over by sithixay xayavong, director of research and academic services office of Lao National University. Ms. somchanh bounphanmy, vice president of Lao National University, delivered a welcome speech. 12 leaders from the graduate department, personnel department, International Department, school office, political department, education department, economic management department, Confucius Institute and other departments of Lao National University attended the symposium. At the symposium, Ms. somchanh bounphanmy, vice president, made a detailed introduction to the development history and discipline construction of the National University, and expressed sincere thanks to China for its long-term help to Laos, especially a warm welcome to the delegation of Marxism Institute. Fang Yumei, vice president of the school of Marxism, thanked Lao National University for its warm reception and introduced the basic situation of Dalian University of technology and the school of Marxism of Dalian University of technology. She said that she would like to visit Lao National University and further promote the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities, learn from and exchange the experience of the development of socialist countries, and realize mutual assistance and common development. Ms. somchanh bounphanmy, vice president of the University, agreed with vice president Yu Mei's suggestions and ideas. She believed that the University of socialist countries has a good foundation and potential for cooperation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on specific scientific research cooperation and related academic issues, exchanged views on the memorandum of cooperation between the two sides, reached further cooperation intentions, and preliminarily reached a consensus on the memorandum of cooperation to be signed by the two sides. In addition, the teachers and students of the delegation also had friendly exchanges with the teachers and students of Lao National University, and conducted in-depth and extensive exchanges on the unique experience of Lao patriotic education, the relationship between Buddhism and Marxism in Laos, the construction practice of Lao party, the attitude of Lao government towards the non-public economy, and the ideological and political course construction of Lao universities, etc., which enabled us to add a deep understanding of the practice of Laos' socialist construction and ideological and political course construction, and has enhanced the friendship between teachers and students of both sides.

On November 28-29, the visiting group visited the Lao Academy of Social Sciences, which was received by the Academy, held symposiums and carried out multi-level learning and exchange activities. Seven leaders from the Sociology Research Institute, Political Research Institute, personnel department, general office, scientific research office, foreign liaison office and other departments of Lao National Academy of Social Sciences attended the symposium. Professor Campeng Timdaley, director of the Institute of sociology, warmly welcomed the visit of our teachers and students, and introduced the general situation of the Academy of social sciences. Professor Campeng Timdali pointed out that China and Laos are connected by mountains and rivers, and the development path of the two countries is similar. With the frequent visits and exchanges between the high-level leaders of the two countries, Laos Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Chinese universities have established good cooperative relations. Professor Campeng Timdali also said that they would like to express their sincere thanks to the school of Marxism of Dalian University of technology for the future talent training and exchange of the Lao Academy of social sciences. I believe that through this visit, through the in-depth understanding of the Lao Academy of Social Sciences and the school of Marxism of Dalian University of technology, the future cooperation between the two will be promoted. At the meeting, vice president Yumei Fang introduced the basic situation of Dalian University of technology and Marxism Institute, reviewed the exchange process of the two universities, and shared the experience and harvest of learning exchanges with Laos experts and scholars two times. The two sides had in-depth discussions and exchanges on signing specific cooperation agreements, reached consensus, and solemnly signed a memorandum of cooperation at the meeting site. After that, the teachers and students of the delegation also had academic exchanges with the teachers and students of the Lao Academy of social sciences. A heated and in-depth discussion was held on such issues as how to educate the students at the school, social and family levels in Laos to bear the responsibility of building the country, the participation of the people in the national construction, Laos' demand for the construction of China's "The Belt and Road", the economic cooperation between China and Laos, and the impact of Buddhism on Lao society. So that we can further deepen our understanding of the specific practice of Laos' socialist construction and lay a good foundation for the comprehensive and in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the future.

Both the Lao Academy of Social Sciences and the Lao National University are well-known research institutions and universities in Laos. Strengthening the visit to the above-mentioned relevant institutions and universities will contribute to the in-depth academic exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the future. Through this visit, the friendly relations between our school and the Lao Academy of social sciences have been further strengthened, and the fields and contents of cooperation between the two sides have been clarified. During the symposium, the members of the delegation showed a high enthusiasm for academic exchanges, and student representatives expressed that they had broadened their horizons and understood the basic situation of Laos' socialist construction, which was a fruitful trip. One belt, one road project, is a good example for the Marx School of Dalian University of Technology. It helps us to fully understand the new achievements of Laos reform and construction, understand the construction of Laos in the first phase of the Laos project, and explore the platform and mechanism for establishing academic research and personnel training. This will further enhance the level of international exchanges and cooperation between teachers and students, and open up the international academic perspective of students. We have better publicized the socialist ideology of China with Chinese characteristics in the new era, spread the voice of China and tell the story of China in a better way to the international community.
