Two professors, Xu Chengfang and Yang Huimin, attended the European Forum organized by the Marxism Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of social sciences. They went abroad by air in the early morning of October 8, 2016, returned home by air on the night of October 16, and arrived in Dalian on October 17. Professor Xu Chengfang made a speech at the conference and answered and responded to the relevant questions of foreign scholars. Professor Yang Huimin attended the conference and the two professors left a good and deep impression on the scholars.

The theme of this forum is "five development concepts" and China's road. In Spain, France and Italy, a total of three forums and three symposiums were held. The forum was a complete success. Chinese scholars met with the Communist Party of China, left-wing groups, think tanks of the Ministry of foreign affairs, university scholars and graduate students, newspaper and Internet writers from three countries, and frankly and deeply discussed the development concept of China's road, China's model, "innovation, coordination, green, opening and sharing". The Chinese scholars have been eloquent in preaching China's road, China's determination and China's experience, actively and profoundly answering and responding to some questions raised by the other side, and won the praise and respect of foreign scholars.The belt and road, is the new threat or new opportunity, China dream, "advanced Asia and backward Europe", "how to get out of capitalism" and "information communism". Their sincere admiration for the successful practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics has left us a deep impression, which in turn confirms and further strengthens the four self-confidence of Chinese scholars. Of course, foreign scholars also talked about some issues responsibly, which is worth further study. Chinese and foreign scholars have a common feeling that socialism with Chinese characteristics has indeed been a success, and the international influence is growing. The Communist Party of China is a great party, and the Chinese road has a great future.

We really feel that we have the responsibility and obligation to continue to do a good job in teaching and research, use our wisdom and actions, tell a good Chinese story and spread a good Chinese voice.
